I find this disturbing about Christianity, what do you think?

Sorry about asking this a second time however NOBODY actually answered the question I asked (it was like a room full of politicians :P)

PLEASE JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION I ASK

Christians don't you find it disturbing that if people don't worship a god that gives you no SOLID PROOF (i.e. NOT FAITH) that he exists you will burn FOREVER in the pits of hell?

I am asking Christians if they find it disturbing if "nonbelievers" (atheists) will be eternally punished? Does anyone deserve that?

Please, just answer the question above.

Update:

Well so far we have 4/8 people actually answering the question. On the bright side that is a lot more than last time!

Update 2:

@quaz: Thanks for your solid answers!

Update 3:

@JosephKJV: "Albert Einstein, and many others not atheists..." and Hitler believed in god, but that is neither here nor there.

When the BAD Christians that post all the intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution on here have gone to hell and the very rare GOOD Christians that believe in a loving god and act like it have gone to heaven - - - those of us left will be in paradise!

"Christians don't you find it disturbing that if people don't worship a god that gives you no SOLID PROOF (i.e. NOT FAITH) that he exists you will burn FOREVER in the pits of hell?"

he gives different people different amounts of proof. for some people just reading a single passage of the bible is enough proof of God, for others they needed to see/hear him. there are others though that God could appear before them and say "i am God and i do exist" and do any miracle right there and they still wouldn't believe.

"I am asking Christians if they find it disturbing if "nonbelievers" (atheists) will be eternally punished? Does anyone deserve that?"

such is the punishment of sin... why shouldn't a holy and just God take rebellion (sin) seriously?

We answered your question, it is the values of Jesus Christ, that produce what the designer of our being wants and if you refuse TO DO IN DEED, what HE has asked you, which you weren't doing to begin with and REFUSE, to do after knowing The Virtues Good He IS ASKING YOU TO DO, which should be in grained in your nature, but YOU INSIST IN GOING AGAINST YOUR CONSCIOUS and The Law IS: as YOU DO UNTO OTHERS, so SHALL IT BE DONE unto YOU." The Word "SHALL" makes it A LAW, like gravity it operates and gives PERFECT RESULTS or to put it another WAY, Jesus Christ says,"WHY CALL ME LORD, LORD and NOT DO WHAT I SAY." Get it? No? Well, you get a ticket. But officer,"I didn't see the arrows." YA, SURE. I can see, by your anti-Christ remarks, who YOU are really WORKING FOR...

This is what happened to me at work at noon time. Don't you think, that some folks will never be deceived by the likes of the dog mentality? God made humans not dogs, repent and get with it OR PERISH. You have been told, but what excuse have you got now? Well, whatever, God is Right and you are not even on the scale, wrong...

was working as an Master Electrician, for an Electronic Factory, It was noon, the middle of the day.

I was walking down the middle of an aisle, when the firmament of the heavens, spun into a pillar

and split into a curtain and drew up, revealing Jesus Christ, seated, intently looking at me, as

six others approach HIM, and gathered behind HIM, dressed in "WHITE GOWNS", the Glory of God

all around them, they smiled, and the heavens closed as they had opened."

No, God is not dependent on your imagination, He lives forever long ago, and forever more...

True atheist, don't hang around what they believe NOT to exist, but antichrists do....

Excuse me, as I address the antichrists, whose church is described in Revelation chapter 13...

And who is an antichrist? 1st John ch.2:22" Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is The Christ?

He is antichrist, that denies The Father and The Son."

An Antichrist = 1st John 4:3 "And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh IS NOT OF GOD: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and EVEN NOW ALREADY IS IT IN THE WORLD."

In my opinion god has done everything he needed over the years he gave us proof, even when he didn't have to. So when it comes to atheist all I can do is say in the end most of the believers would forget about them. In fact the bible says that after we enter the new heaven and earth after God wipes away every tear from our eye it'll seem like the past didn't happen. Atheism, all those other religions and people that didn't believe was only basically like a dream. So in a since the joke is on them not me

You, sir, have some pretty ignorant views on Christianity. Christians are no more deserving of hell than atheists, EVERYONE deserves hell? Why? Because we're human, and we naturally do wrong. Even someone who you deem to be the nicest person in the planet has told a lie, thought negatively about others, stole, etc. (even if it's just a tiny thing) It's human nature, we all do wrong. And because of that, we're deserving of hell.

However, if you acknowledge that you've done wrong, and pray to ask FORGIVENESS; you'll be cleaned. It's that simple.

I think Christianity is a misnomer.

The Beatitudes of Jesus are completely different than Paul's road to salvation. And most so called Christian churches teach Paul's method, not the Beatitudes method.

Paul and con artists always want you to have "faith" in what they tell you.

The Beatitudes simply have the theme that if you seek harmony when you can, you will be set aside for Heaven.

It is silly to think an intelligent being would judge us on faith, instead of our conduct as to "How well we play with others"

People believe the stories in the Bible because they want to believe them. If they want to believe them enough, then it is called "faith" that they are true.

I'm sorry to tell you, but you, like many people, have been mislead. The doctrine of eternal torment is just another christian myth. Mainstream christianity is full of false doctrines and this is one of them. The original word for hell is Sheol, which is used in the Hebrew Scriptures, and Hades, which is used in the Christian Greek Scriptures. Hell means death, nothing more. It's the common grave of mankind. The wicked will be destroyed, they won't suffer for eternity, the bible says nothing about a literal pit of fire, or a place of eternal pain and suffering.

The way I see it God loved us so much that he sacrificed his only begotten son so that we humans could go to heaven.I think that when people disrespect God or say I don't believe in Jesus they put themselves at risk for burning in hell fire.

I don't think its disturbing that nonbelievers might go to hell because they had every opportunity to become saved.I guess when it comes to spiritual beliefs nonbelievers have way more to loose than I do.

Yes, I found that disturbing, which is why I'm not a Christian anymore. I grew up in a devout Lutheran family, and they believed that if you weren't Christian, you were going to burn in hell. That meant Buddhists, Muslims, Wiccans, and Hindus, as well as atheists.

It wasn't fair or loving, it was twisted and wrong to say such a thing. So I rejected the idea, and the religion it was part of.

It comes down to looking around you and having a knowledge of bible prophecy. This is called faith! It is different than having some body drop a brick on you foot knowing it will hurt!
