Doctors are not saying anything, they are waiting for main report which will tell us about hepatitis virus, they also said that liver stiffness is 8.8, which greater than normal(1.7), they cant cure it but can stop it right there. For fever they are giving PARACETAMOL only. Please see his report till today.

I have had liver biopsies done 3 times and never experienced any fever. What have the doctors said about him having a fever? They just take a very small sample which should not cause a fever. They just get the sample with a needle. It's not like they open you up for a surgery or even go in laproscopically. It really minor like nothing more than a big shot. The biggest risk is bleeding due to the tissue they remove and they make you lie still until that risk is over. His fever could be caused by something else. He just may have a virus of some kind that will go away as it wears out. Is he experiencing any pain in the area where they did the biopsy? If yes, then I would be more concerned that about it being the result of the biopsy. 101 is not a high fever. When you get above 102, that would be considered more in the high range.

You can try cool packs on neck, armpits, and groin area. Make sure they are in very little clothing no covering up with blankets and such. In an adult anything over 103 can be extremely dangerous!
