He had a minor calf muscle tear. And how is he having a slow start? Yeah, he doesn't have a home run yet, but he's hitting .348 with a .500 OBP. He's also competing with Holliday, Beltran, and Freese for RBI's. He's by no means done.

In all likely hood. I don't see Berkman making a miraculous comeback, and him becoming a huge baseball story. I think he isn't "done", as opposed to he won't be half as good as he once was.
