Republicans and Conservatives?
My mother told me of a time when Republicans and Democrats didn't differ to heavily. A time in which almost all Republicans weren't extremely conservative, and were actually reasonable. Do they still exist?
When someone as Conservative as Mitt Romney is considered a moderate, we have a problem..

It seems the republican party has actually turned into the Christian Conservative Party and the Democratic Party is just plain confused.

Yes they do, as evident when Mitt Romney won the primaries for this election year!
There is just a very vocal majority who isn't even going to get it's agenda passed but just wants Obama out of office.

The was a time about 50 years ago when Democrats were not socialists/ communists, and were genuine populists concerned with what is best for the nation, not with sending the rest of us to the poorhouse by making their political allies rich.

Some of us, me to be exact, want all government spending to come to a screeching halt and spend only where absolutely necessary. Spend on defense, stop spending on welfare moms who never get off the tit. If that makes me extremely conservative, I can live with it.

They don't really differ that much now... They work together quite nicely when they get together to screw us over.
