Take the battery out and put the phone and battery on a couple of paper towels for at least 24 hours to dry out before trying to turn it on. You might get lucky if you can wait it out. If you have insurance, this is anther option as these phones are pricey when you are not eligible for an upgrade.

you should take the battery out immediately, if not the phone may be shorted out.

next, shake the phone out- with the back open - until the drops stop.

this is important, put the phone in a bag of uncooked rice or beans- I used rice- and leave it in there for a few days. you can even change the rice if you'd like. it really helps to dry out the phone.
