I changed the battery in my truck and now my car idles weird?
I drive a 93' Ford F-150 and the previous battery it had in it was too small so i put in a battery with the correct cold cranking amps. starts no problem runs fine, but after im done driving and put the car in park my truck idles weird. it sounds like its about to stall bc it idles so low than it revs back up, then down then up. also the battery gauge goes up and down.

It is probably the computer resetting , drive it for like 75 miles and watch the alternator hand to make sure it is charging also, and then if the check engine light should come on after everything is reset and it still idles like that it very well can be the EGR valve is bad or stopped up.,,,,,,

Doesn't sound like there's any relationship between the battery change and the problem you're experiencing now.
The only things I can think of would be a dirty / defective idle air control valve, coolant temperature sensor or Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve.
These items can sometimes cause a surging idle such as you're experiencing.
The battery fluctuation is tied to the variable RPM caused by one of the above items.
