What's cheaper than a Black Rapid camera strap?

I love the Black Rapid strap but I'm not willing to pay that much. Any good knock offs?

I have tried the cheaper straps and I did not like them. They used a cheaper, harder, stiffer material and were not as comfortable as the BR.

I prefer to "try it before I buy it". I took my camera/big lens/flash (~7 pounds) into the camera shop to try some straps. Most of the straps had rough edges and on one, the plastic clip started to open from the hanging weight of my gear...not something I would trust.

There are some things a lot of people don't want to accept:

    1) Photography is NOT a cheap hobby or profession!

    2) You have to be rich to wear cheap shoes...buy cheap, buy often...you get what you pay for

Optech makes some cheaper ones, but I have to say, that the Black Rapid straps are awesome.

I bought the DR-1 two years ago because I shoot with two cameras, and it was worth every penny of the $130 price tag. It is not only extremely functional, but also comfortable when I have to carry 20lbs of equipment for 10 hours at a time. I like that the weight goes to my shoulders and not my neck.

I liked it so much, that after the first wedding I shot with it, I bought my wife the DR-2 strap.

It is $50 cheaper than the only comparable products made by Sun Sniper.

if you aren't willing to pay, stick with other straps... plenty of cheap ones out there...
