Good place to make free photography website?
What is a good website that creates free photograph websites? I am looking for a website that will display my images and get a fair amount of traffic. I am a student so I cannot afford to pay for a website. The website must also be trustful.
Thanks :)

You can use some free services to create a website or a blog like:
1. Tumblr
2. Posterous
3. Blogger
4. Wordpress
If you want something better, or with more features and with a real domain name like something.com you have to pay for it.

Check here a good photography course online:
http://photography-course.info/
You can be like the masses of humanity and buy a camera you can afford that has auto this and that for worry free picture taking. And learn through trial and error how to use something like aperture or shutter priority auto modes or even attempt to use the thing on full manual mode.
You seem to know already there is some thinking to using a camera and to take pictures. A good place to start is by reading the owners manual that comes with a camera. Read the information and look at the illustrations with part names and look at the real camera. Handle the camera and take pictures. Let me rephrase that. Take pictures to learn how to use the camera and maybe even to keep some. Don't start with important stuff you cannot photograph over again such as birthdays, a toddlers first steps. That puts picture taking out of the learning phase and puts the pressure and emphasis to taking pictures for real and to keep.
These first pictures are for you to learn how to use your camera. And you have learned how to use your camera when you can take pictures with it and can teach others how to use it. Honest. You can also go to a college in your area and take a beginning photography course. There you will be taught the basics even a pro must learn and do in their work. Camera handling and use, taking exposures with film and/or digital cameras, and maybe even some photo assignments to get some real time learning. In this learning do not take serious pictures you must keep as that detracts from the learning aspect of the class. Do so only if you have mastered the use of your camera before class is over.
It's like growing up in a way. And I am happy you know there is a way to learn how to use a camera and take pictures. It's like learning how to drive I suppose. Someone can teach you or you can get taught at a driving school. Both will get you a drivers liscense. One though will really teach you the fundamentals you can use for the rest of your driving career.

I am a firm believer in that if you want to be taken seriously and seen as credible you'll find a way to pay for a web site.
I am a stay at home wife and my husband and I have a limited income. However, because we take my work seriously and I need to have strong, professional web presence for the things I do, we make every effort to invest in what I need. I am also a student so I understand the financial struggle.
To correct FhotoAce though, you can find quality hosting for under $135 a year. I pay around $100 annually for mine and several of my friends pay less than that. I am satisfied with my host (Bluehost) otherwise I'd consider moving to something cheaper.
Look into web designers and hosting. I can guarantee that most designers are willing to work with you on price to ensure you have a good site that you can afford. Also, having your own self-hosted site is better for SEO purposes. A free web site is not as easily found in search engine rankings and won't generate a lot of traffic.
You have to decide what is more important: A web site of your own that can generate good rankings with good SEO or a free web site that does you no good on traffic or page rankings.

You have some options.
A lot of photographers put their photos on flickr where you create a profile and your pictures are protected. This is prob your best option
You could also create a website at wordpress for free. With a free theme and everything. The problem with that is that the domain is going to be (whateveryouchoose).wordpress.com. It does get annoying in a way but that what you pay for. If you don't mind the .wordpress then go with this option.

Flickr is arguably the world's biggest and best photo sharing website, and can give you lots of traffic if you 'work it' intelligently by adding tags, joining groups, interacting with other people on the site. Although there's a small annual fee for 'Pro' members, you can display 200 photos at a time for free (with certain limitations regarding the file sizes you can upload, and so on, which the paying members don't have to adhere to).
I'd say it's definitely worth a try, anyhoo. It's quick and easy to join, and their finely-honed photo-centric interface is all ready and waiting for you. Flickr's collaboration with Getty Images can even give you the opportunity to sell a few of your photos via the site, if they're good enough!
