Your thoughts on the FBS playoff proposal?
I'm not a fan of college football but I've always thought it was a complete joke to have only 2 teams be able to compete for a national title in what they call the postseason since the FBS has 120 teams.
I'd like to see it expanded to 8 or 10 teams to make it really interesting and I also believe that with college footballs intense fanbase a single elimination tournament would be really intense, I love the NFL playoffs and would love to see that kind of intensity for college playoffs instead of seeing 2 teams that sat around for 5 weeks playing for a title.
I really hope they can get this done, seems like they're close and realize what a failed system they have been using.

Oh, playoffs would be great! Not only will it attract more fans, the college football season will be extended. There is nothing better than to watch to highly talented teams battling for the right to be Champion. Playoffs are the best move they could make.

For football fans it's a great idea, but look at all the revenue they get for all the bowl games they have. If they had an actual playoff system people would be less tempted to watch. So instead of have about 34 games in which they sell the naming rights for (if they had 8 teams in a playoff )they would have 7 games in which they could cash in on, sure they could still have bowl games and sell naming rights for them, but I doubt they would generate as much revenue.
