How to restore PSP to Sony Firmware?
Hello.
I bought a secondhand PSP from Ebay. It arrived today but it has CFW on it (this wasn't mentioned in the listing but the seller is a trade seller so might not have known). I also tried to go into the Playstation Store and it says I need to update. Then I go to network update and it tells me that I have the latest software.
Does anyone know how to restore my PSP to the original firmware? I'm not sure if the Playstation Store problem is related to it and I'd rather have legit software on my PSP.
However, the PSP didn't come with a memory stick or USB. It only came with the charger.
Any help much appreciated.
Thank you.

You will need a memory stick to update this.
You will also need either a USB cable or a memory card reader.
You need to download this:
http://du01.psp.update.playstation.org/update/psp/...
and install it on the memory stick in the following location:
stick://PSP/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP
once then you go into the PSP settings menu and select System Update and install from memory stick.
You have to override the custom firmware for you to be able to get back on official firmware, once you are on OFW you can update through the internet for future updates, but again you HAVE to have a memory stick.
EDIT: This will fix your PlayStation Store as well.

I've heard the only way is to buy something called a "Pandora's battery" of E-bay or something. I wouldn't suggest buying it, it can easily brick your PSP.
