If i stole £80,000 from the taxpayer, do you think I would be treated in the same way?

Margaret Moran, the former Labour MP accused of falsely claiming £80,000 in expenses, has been found unfit to plead after a court heard she felt “suicidal” after being “abandoned” by the Labour Party.

This woman was so devastated after being caught stealing that she didn't work for 12 months, leaving her constituents without an MP (and therefore a democratic voice) but wasn't so ill that she stayed in her seat until the election when she duly received £40,000 pay off of more taxpayers money for standing down. The party that has apparently abandoned her should have sacked her immediately but instead supported her by paying her wages then paying her off.

I'm a staunch Labour supporter but any MP who gyps the taxpayer out of anything should be punished. End of. Those MP's are like banks, thieves and the general public who get caught thieving would get punished. And rightly so.

One law for the rich another for the poor.......as the old song goes:

"It's the same the whole world over

It's the poor what gets the blame

It's the rich what gets the pleasure

Ain't it all a bloomin' shame?"

    A bleedin' disgrace more like.....

Give her a break. Like the mouse said to the Elephant, "I've not been well".

It seems to be a standard defence these days,
