Opinion question: What crested gecko morph should I buy to start breeding with?
Hey guys! The title basically says it all. I'm looking for a morph that isn't to pricey, but pricey enough that I can make money off of the offspring fore more geckos additions. Thanks!

Sorry, but unless you're a large-time breeder, you won't make money off of breeding crested geckos. If you are going to breed, breed for the best, not to make money. Get cresties with great crests, drooping even. Get morphs that have outrageous colors (contrast is what most people look for such as black with cream). Look for the most mesmorizing patterns, such as full pinstripes (my favorite), extreme harlequins, or super dalmatians.
Those traits are what will get you the most for your money (crests, color, pattern). But you'll have a better chance of getting those traits in the offspring if you got a great pair of adults, which could be pricey. Otherwise, if you get run-of-the-mill adults with poor crests, dull colors, and pitiful patterns, you're looking at advertising babies for $20-40 a piece. And in order to get those babies, you'll have to have the proper adult set up (with laybox). Keeping the male and female separate other than during a week in the beginning of mating season is also recommended....that means 2 enclosures. And what if it gets too hot in your room? You'll need a cooling incubator for the eggs. What about housing all of those babies until you know for sure that they will eat the CGD on their own? More enclosures (though they can be kritter keepers).
So, again, unless you're breeding for the best or breeding in large quantity, you won't get much money out of it, if any.

I would have to agree with the above post in saying that breeding geckos will really not make you any money. In most cases, breeders use it as a hobby and hopefully breakeven. Though its true that you can make some money on these things, it would require years of breeding the right kind of crested geckos while also having a strong reputation behind you.
That being said, I love the creamsicles morph. My one crested gecko is a deep orange but the top "stripe" in between the crests is a creamy bright yellow with bits of the orange mixed in. Its a really nice combination and almost makes me consider breeding him.
