ok so I am like a Lash serum hoarder so ill tell you what i know:
Lash serums do work but these are the best ones out of everything i tried:
Mac Prep and Prime Future Lengths Lash Serum ($30)
Loreal Paris Lash Serum ($15)
Rimmel London lash accelerator ($10)
Lash serums are great for not only the growth of lashes, but the thickening and strengthening of lashes. After using serum, my lashes did not fall out constantly. They always used to before which was the prime reason that I had gotten into Lash serums. I really didn't expect any growth or length, but i was shocked at how much it worked. I had bald spots on my lashes from it falling out too much, it wasnt that noticeable but did not look that appealing when i put mascara on it. In like 2 - 3 weeks, my lashes were all grown back, and i saw new lashes coming in as well.
MAC's lash serum is best for strengthening your lashes. You just apply it at night (you can also apply serums in the morning, but i dont like that since i feel it does nothing), because that is where your cells work the best to produce new lashes. It comes with an eyeliner like applicator that you just brush on your lashline
Rimmel London's serum is best for lengthening, it comes with a brush applicator, as well as a coil plastic type thing to apply on your lashes.. you can also use this on brows if you overplucked
Loreal Paris's lash serum is best for thickening. IT comes with this really cool curved spongey applicator which i love. You apply it on your lashline, as well as your lashes.
However, If u do not want to spend the money on lash serums i suggest making your own lash growth serum.
What you will need:
- An old mascara tube, cleaned and washed out with the stopper taken out (DO NOT THROW THE STOPPER AWAY WHEN YOU ARE CLEANING IT)
- vaseline
-almond oil
-castor oil
- aloe vera gel
Vaseline- Works a. by holding the rest of the product together and b.because of it's consistency it keeps the hair hydrated and provides a protective barrier against things such as dirt and cold.
Almond oil (Or olive oil) is a natural hair growth stimulant and has been used in the Arab and Indian culture for centuries for healthy strong hair.
Castor Oil- This will help your lashes grow
Aloe Vera Gel- If this is applied just by its self it's a bit too drying for the lashes and has the same effect as clear mascara but combined with the other ingredients it stops the mixture being too "oily", helps hold the mixture together and is a natural regenerant (helps things heal)
use about a table spoon of aloe vera gel, a tablespoon of vaseline and a teaspoon of the 2 oils and mix, then put it into the old mascara tube and the put the stopper back on
Every night use this as a lash conditioner and apply it like you would with mascara
OR if you do not want to do this method you can just:
take vaseline and apply it on your lashline and lashes each night..APPLY DOESNT MEAN TO COAT IT!!!! vaseline will only help in softening your lashes so that they do not break and therefore allowing it to grow
You will see the most dramatic changes in a couiple of weeks with the serums .. and then following with the homemade serum, and then vaseline..
Well hoped i helped =)

ignore the person who said to make your own. While these DO help and work, if you really want something that works like LATISSE -- which is severely overpriced! -- you need something with prostaglandins in it. Latisse is the exact same formula that is found in glaucoma eyedrops! It is ridiculous but true -- doctors charge four dollars for a bottle of the glaucoma medication -- and charge over a hundred for Latisse. This disgusts me so I went searching for an alternative. It is WRONG to act THAT greedy is how I felt. So I can tell you what has prostaglandins for eyelash growth in it, and you have to be very careful and read the ingredients since a lot of these products got reformulated because the jerky pharma companies behind the overpriced Latisse made them all change. I believe Lilash, the one called serum not just stimulator, on ebay, Rapidlash -- old formula -- and best of all, the el cheapo one from Alldaychemists called Careprost. Same ingredients as Latisse. I refuse to support the jerky pharm. companies so these are what I resorted to. So far it is hard to tell if the careprost that I have is as good as Latisse (which I used a while back) since I am bad about putting it on every day. I am also going to try some of the ones on ebay (like Lilash) but they are pricey. Still cheaper than Latisse.

You're all set to go out and bat your eyelashes, when suddenly you realize?yours need a little work. Those long, upturned eyelashes not only make your eyes look bigger, they also give you a fresh, youthful appearance. Even though lash length and shape is genetically programmed, there are many things you can do (some easy and quick, some drastic and pricey) to create the illusion of long, batty eyelashes

I stopped using latisse when they jacked up their prices, the only thing that has come close to the results i got from latisse is a lash serum called Fortilash, they have them on ebay all the time for super cheap, i suggest you start there, hope that helped

hmm. well im not exactly sure which on you mean but the one you normally see in commicals and averatisment i dont think it accually works. eyelashhess techniclly dont grow only when one falls out another replaces it. but if you wannt long naturally looking lashes you should just try a regular eye lash curler and maybe a thin coat of macarca. :)
