Is my diet poor or healthy? Please help?
Im 14 years old, female, 5ft 4 and 115lb
Today I have eaten:
40g shreddies with semi skimmed milk (shreddies are a whole grain cereal) - 200cal
One satsuma - 20cal
Some cucumber and carrot - 50cal
Wholemeal toast- 100cal
3egg white and a few tbsp of chopped canned tomato (not fried just heated on a non stick pan) - 100cal
3 dates - apparently 150cal *shocked*
8tbsp white rice (white is bad I know but I had no choice today) - 200cal
Coffee with tiny amount of skimmed milk and one teaspoon sugar -30 cal (I don't have coffee regularly this was a one off)
A plum - 50cal
I also exercised for one hour (30mins jogging, 30mins dancing)
been standing or walking about the house most of the day
I haven't eaten the rice yet, that is for dinner along with the carrots and veg
But basically this is all I have/will eat for today

I would eat more meat unless you're a vegetarian but i'm no expert. I believe white meats like chicken would be best.

Make sure you have meat everyday to. You need different types of food for different types of nutrition.
I say swimming dancing and running are a good full body workout. It may not come off in a instant but at least you are being healthy!
Another thing is that your only 14, you still have some years to grow in height and that'll effect your weight change to.

So today you have eaten 900kcal and your exercise you've burned around 600.
Your BMR (how many calories you need just to breath and stay alive) is about 1390kcal
So at your activity level you need to consume about 1000kcal more.

Sounds perfectly healthy to me and your weight and height sound great. Sounds to me like you shouldn't worry!
I didn't seem to notice you didn't mention meat as I've been a vegetarian for 20 years. Are you as well? It does sound like adding protien would be a good idea

that's a really healthy diet except for a 14 yr old you should be eating a little more not much just a little. As I said thats a really healthy diet
