What's with the celebrity trend to name your child the most ridiculous name?

Because celebrities have enough money to shield their offspring from reality. Those kids will never have to go to public school, will never have to meet 'normal' unpretentious people and will not be forced to associate themselves with people they don't like.

Us normal people do not have that luxury, and yet we follow their despicable trends like sheep, trying to get a little taste of the limelight. Unfortunately, we haven't yet figured out that, due to our lack of wealth and prestige, our little Harper Seven's, our Apple's and our Blue Ivy's are going to get the stuffing kicked out of them throughout life; and there will be no sympahty for them once they have to go out into the world and find jobs. After all, a potential boss isn't going to take a look at a woman's resume, scrunch up his nose and say:

"Ronnie Elizabeth - that's so cute and yooneek! You're hired!!!"

I pity those children...

I really don't know and some are insane! Although, some I really do like. Those being:

Blue Ivy Carter (Beyonce & Jay-Z's daughter)

Blue is a calm and simple name, just like the colour and I love the meaning of "Ivy". Google why they named their daughter that.

Harper Seven (David & Victoria Beckham's daughter)

I admit, Harper isn't my favourite name every, but "Seven" has a meaning and its unique. Google it too.

Some of them are crazy! I guess they want something that stands out and gets people talking about them.

My wife and I want something unique for our baby. And when my family asked us what names we had, and we told them so far we liked - Noah, Dakota, Willow and Presley. They thought they were stupid and crazy. But honestly, I don't think they're that 'Out there'. We just don't want our kid to be 1 of 10 Jack or Ashley's.

Often because they want there kids to stand out from others but like they aren't already famous I don't really understand either so I'm not much help

omg HAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHHA HOW HILARIOUS IS THAT! XDDDDDD I'm so glad I don't live in the US XD If I'd ever meet those kids, wow... as mean as it is, you just HAVE to make fun of their names. they're ridiculas! Maybe it's just for attention? They always say they wants their children to stay away from camera's and all the attention, but secretly they love it.
