Free texting app for iphone or android phones?
Okay well my friend told me that if you have either an iphone or android phone you can get a free app which will let you text anyone else who also has an iphone or android phone, for free, even if they are in another country. I'm just wondering if this is true? Does anyone know of an app that lets you do this?
I have wifi so I don't think I need to worry about using up data, so it would be totally free right?

iPhone has iMessage with the latest iOS.
As long as whoever you're texting has iMessage switched on then you only get charged whatever data it uses. There are other apps which again the person you are texting must have activated for it to work. It's not technically free because you are getting charged for the Internet usage but it is a lot cheaper.

These two applications are:
1. Whatsapp (
2. Viber (over and above messaging, you can also do a voice call for free)
However, please note that you require a GPRS data plan WiFi for these to work.

i have an app like that its called text free and you can earn free minutes by that hopes this helps you
