Help with colvalent bonding with the following problems?
I have these science stuff with chemical bonding. I'm having trouble with covalent bonding with more than 2 atoms or something. Like:
SCL2 I've tried combining this one and it didn't really work.
CH3Cl
C2H6
Can you please help and explain it too? I need it to use Lewis structures to show the covalent bonding, But for SCl2, i can't see how their valence electrons share.......

S can have an oxidation state S+2 where it loses 2 electrons, that will make the first one work. Having two single bonds to two Cl's (sharing an electron pair and leaving a certain amount of lone electron pairs unbonded).
Cl - S - Cl
In CH3Cl, the C makes four single bonds, 3 with H and 1 with Cl. (sharing a pair of electron in each bond).
C2H6 - Each carbon is bonded once to each other then 3 times to H atoms. Single bond etc
I tried drawing them but when I submitted they all moved sorry.
And you can fill in the electrons because I can't draw them on here!

Sulphur would be in the middle with the 6 valence electrons.
Cl - S - Cl
Each Cl shares 1 electron in each bond, and the sulphur shares 2, one with each Cl.
Each Cl would have 6 more electrons (3 pairs) around it and the sulphur would have 4 ( 2 pairs)
Carbon in the middle sharing one electron with each H and the Cl
Double bond between the two carbons then 2 hydrogen attached to each carbon.
