i want to register to own a pistol stock and i can print the forms out online but where do i turn them in? Just any police department or the main headquarters in downtown?

First complete the ATF Form 5320-D.1 at the link below, which is a fillable PDF. Then have the application certified by your local police chief, sheriff, district attorney, head of state police or other person with jurisdiction and return it with two copies of FBI Forms FD-258 (fingerprints), one 2x2" photograph of the applicant's frontal view and a $200 processing fee to National Firearms Act Branch, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, 244 Needy Road, Suite 1250, Martinsburg, WV 25405.
