I used bike oil instead of car oil! Help! ?

My car was low on oil, and I went to top it up, but accidentally used my partners bike oil instead of the car oil...

I drive an 06 Mazda 3, and the oil was "MOTUL, 7100 eater 10W40"

This was about two weeks ago, and my car is running okay, just feels a little less powerful?

Should I get someone who actually knows something about cars to do something to drain it/fix it?? Or will it be okay??

Thanks in advance!

Not to worry. The oil you put in is probably better oil and costs more. Your car probably takes 4-5 litres. A small amount of another type of oil will not hurt your engine. The feeling" a little less powerful "is probably in your head. Just do your regular oil change whenever it's due. You usually shouldn't have to top up your oil if you change your oil and filter every 8000-10000 km. Unless you are very hard on your engine, or you have a leak.

Well its better than having no oil so its good you checked it. Bike oil usually lacks the slipperlyness of car oils and that oil might be a bit heavy for a car of that age. it is up to you some say it is ok to use but if in doubt book it in for a service.

10W30 car oil usually has friction modifiers that will cause your clutch to slip. If you're going to use 10W30, get something from the motorcycle shop. Once the bike is broken in you can go to Rotella T Full Synthetic 5W40, available at Walmart or auto parts stores.

For your information all engine oils base is same. The additives used are different. Hence don't worry nothing happens to your engine. Little power less which you are feeling is not related to this issue

Look at the bottle, if it says 2 stroke on it, you are probably in trouble. If not you should be ok, but it will probably wear your engine a little. If you can, get your partner to drain the oil and put car oil in it instead.

Real bad. Their is a reason for motor cycle motor oil and car oil. Different lubrication properties. Go to a mechanic and get a oil change! Don't be surprised if you end up.destroying your motor

If you just top-ed it up you probably did not add much, you should be fine.
