i have known this guy for about 3 years. i have going over to his place and watching movies while rubbing his back and staying the night (nothing sexual). i have also noticed that when i go over there he will just stare at me and not say a word. i ask him if he wants me to leave and he smiles and shakes his head. i tell him that if he doesn't want me there all he has to do is say leave and he will smile and say "you're fine". he has also asked me why i hang out with him. i tell him it is because i like him. i don't know what to do anymore. any advice would be very grateful.

You should ask him if he likes you. Just be straight up about it. If you like him, then go see where he stands with you.
