How hard is it for game developers to make hd remakes?

I don't mean the marketing side that involves figuring out if enough people will buy a remake but the development side of actually working on the programming of the game. When I was playing the devil may cry collection I noticed the graphics were only slightly better than the ps2 versions (and that's probably because the ps2 itself is fuzzy to begin with on my tv). I don't know if this one in particular was just a bad example or if all had collections look this way, I got it for the 360 as well not sure if that makes a difference either. Basically I was just wondering how difficult it is for developers to make these. Thanks for your time.

Well it shouldn't be much better anyway. All they are really doing is replacing the textures to make it not so fuzzy and increasing pixel count so that on HDTVs it doesn't look "pixelated or blocky".

They don't actually make the graphics better (Note that the DMC Collection is an HD REMASTER, not REMAKE)

Remaster just has what I said above. Remakes actually change everything graphically in the game (very few games get REMAKES)

definite, it relatively is in the psstore yet did no longer get a pictures replace. i think of they redidthe pictures on each and all of the PS2 MGS video games through fact they had rework the pictures besides to be certain that them to artwork with the PS3s that are actually not backward well suited.
