"you won $10 :o wow amazing you must be hooked" - This is a crass and sarcastic statement of an ignorant person.
You are wise to at least consider the possibility of a potential addiction. Folks think, "It could never happen to me." They think it only happens to folks who lose a lot of money. That is SO wrong.
In fact, addiction happens more often to people just like YOU - people who WIN on their first trip to the casino! It's the WINNING at a casino that is addicting!
The truth is that winning money at a casino is actually VERY easy to do! The only problem is that LOSING money at a casino is just a little bit EASIER!
Should you go back to play? That depends. I can promise you two things will happen if you do continue to gamble: #1 - You WILL WIN sometimes! This is inevitable. #2 - You WILL LOSE more money than you ever win! Again, this is inevitable!!!
So should you go back? Well, I would suggest to you that there is only one SANE reason to go to the casino - that is to HAVE FUN! If you don't mind SPENDING money in order to have fun, then go! Go have some fun playing slot machines, but plan on this fun costing you money!
If you EVER, go to a casino with the notion that you are going so you can MAKE money, then that is a real sign of a possible addiction.

Of course you should go. As long as you only take the money that you are willing to loose. I see no problem with using spare income to gamble for a chance to afford some non essential item that you want but can't afford. The problem would be if you just bought the purse even though you can't afford it. However, gambling only gives you a chane to afford the item you want. Saving will gaurentee you will eventually be able to afford the item you want.
