Vegeterian no-carb foods?

I'm a vegetearian currently trying to lose weight. I know vegeterians tend t have lower blood pressure, and I'm doing good. But then I hear about all this carb business. Beans and legumes have carb, and carbs make you fat. But then people tell you that eating red meat isn't the healthiest thing. It's frustrating because i don't eat meat but basically every plant has carbs. Could you just name some fruits and veggies low in carbs. Thanks so much.

Carbs do not make you fat - who do you know who got fat off eating bananas?

Processed foods make you gain weight, and a lot of them have the types of carbs that are not healthy for you in large amounts. The types of carbohydrates in beans and other legumes are the slowly-absorbing kind that don't spike blood sugar. Also, you can probably eat a big bag of chips in an afternoon, but I challenge you to eat the same quantity of black beans or edamame in pods (yummy, but dense and satisfying!). On the subject of potatoes, a baked potato in its skin is satifying and healthy, but a large serving of chips is unhealthy and leaves you craving more within an hour. Whole foods are the way to go - don't worry about cutting carbs.

No- or low-carb veg foods are going to be vegetables (except corn, as that's a grain, and potatoes, as they do contain starch) of all kinds, and certain fruits, such as berries.

Okay, so all those leafy green vegetables are the lowest in carbs. So eat more salads, and enjoy the tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, celery, parsley, kale, napa cabbage, bean sprouts, bell peppers and raw mushrooms (if you like). Salads wil help you lose weight and keep your bowels moving. You need vitamin C, however, and the phytochemicals that berries and other dark red, purple, orange and yellow fruits offer, so make room for some. The foods highest in carbs are the candy, chips, soft drinks, snack cakes, etc. so stay away from them. You need some carbs to make your brain work, since it can only run on sugar, which is a refined carb. The rule of thumb for diabetics, who have trouble processing carbs, is only eat 45 grams of carbs at one meal, and eat 3 meals a day. I find personally that a half cup of legumes (yeah, the beans) is sufficient protein and carbs for a meal. Throw in a half cup of grain (whole grain, like brown rice) and you have a complete dose of all the essential amino acids you need.

Carbs don't make you fat. Animal corpses and fatty foods make you fat. How are asians typically slim when they eat rice all day? Show me some fat fruit eaters. Fat potato and rice eaters, even (without the added fatty cheese and oil and butter etc. that people usually smother them with). That's right, you can't, because they don't exist!

Fear the fat and animal carcass, not the carbs. Carbs are your FRIEND.

Carbs don't make you fat. Eating more calories than you burn off makes you fat.

If you want to go low-carb, then skip processed grains, especially white grains. This means pasta, bread, bagles, etc.

Cheese, butter, eggs, fatty milk and fried noodles, these are vegetarian and do not give you low blood pressure.
