i'm 5'9" and 125 pounds. am I underweight?
I have searched for a chart that will tell me but i'm not sure because i've gotten answers that I am and that i'm not. And I'm 15 years old.

I don't believe you are.
I don't follow that because it's just the average person. But I am 5'3 and about 101 pounds. the chart said being 5'3 I should be around 110-120 pounds. If I were to be that weight at my height I would be obese and extremely unhealthy because I have a very petite frame. I have been around 105 before and I got a slight double chin and I had a loss of energy and I didn't fit my clothes very well. The chart is just an "ideal" weight but they don't factor in age, frame size, ect. Not everyone the same height will weigh the same it's just a guideline. But there are so many cultures out that where people weight differently. So this chart is across the board its not meant for everybody because it's just.
Being 101 pounds is perfect for my health, I eat balanced meals, I have energy and I'm fit. People may object but I believe it works for me because of my small frame, I have fat and meat on me and you can't see my bones and I have fat on my thighs, I have a bit of fat on my stomach.... It's not like I'm stick thin. But I have friend with a much larger frame and they weigh more than me but it works For themIt's just what you believe what's best for you.

Yeah you're pretty underweight for that height.
Try to put on a few pounds. I'm not saying to pig out because that's not the best way to gain weight.
But if it's affecting you daily activities you should take an act on that.
If you have a fast metabolism it's understandable.
But the average weight is 145-155.

have you searched for a body mass index chart ?
it will tell you that you are underweight.
you should gain about 20 pounds

Probably not if you feel under weight though talk to your doctor I get the same feeling but really if you eat good and exercise you will be just fine this is the way god built you
