question on '08 cr-v electrical?

the key buzzer and the headlight-on buzzer don't work on my cr-v anymore. all the fuses check out ok, and everything else works. i think the noisemakers died because my wife left the headlights on too many times and burned it out. is this possible? where is this device located, in case i want to fix it?

Zufelt is accurate. An easy way to tell if this is the case, set the interior lights to come on with the door open. If you open the door and the lights don't come on, you found your issue. Have replaced quite a few of these and they are not hard to replace.

Most likely it is a faulty door jam switch. There's a small rubber cover on the door jam that protectes this electrical switch, and that switch tells the car when the door is open. If the switch is bad, the car doesn't know that the door is open. Thus, it doesn't alert you that the headlights are on or the keys are still in the ignition. Here's the part:
