VW Jetta front wheel clunks when turning.?
My front right wheel clunks hard when I turn the wheel sharp at slow speeds. New axle on that wheel. Struts perhaps?

If you replaced the axle, and the sound was occurring before you replace the axle (because it's unlikely but still possible the axle you put into it was bad to start with), then I'd say it's a ball joint.

it would desire to be inner or outer tie rods, or perchance a wheel bearing. to benefit tranny mounts merely pry on the tranny and notice which one has circulate, or seem for deterioted rubber.
