Here
the asked question is
'How many kilometer distance covered in a time of one hour'
i.e. in short form:
?km/1hr
Now, we will try the answer part one by one :
12m/s =12metre/1second
is in a form of fraction.
Therefore
In the given problem,
first,
convert
either
top part(Numerator)
or
lower part(Denominator)
as per the needed answer.
Now,let us take the Numerator:
here it has the value as 12 meter
Convert this value first
into the needed value of kilometer
That is (i.e.) , 12m = 12m/1000 =0.012km
Once the top part is converted then
we can now write the given problem as
0.012km/1second
(Notice the change only in the top(Numerator) of the problem
and we are now have to convert the lower part (Denominator)
that is 1 second) into Hour
Therefore,it is done as given below:
For 1 second period of time if somebody/something travels a distance of 0.012km
then we know
for 1hour or 3600 seconds (As per the needed Denominator value)
(we know.1hr = 60 minutes
= 60 x 60 seconds =3600 s)
that somebody/something will cover
a distance of (0.012km x 3600s) in one hour
The above discussions are now written in mathematical fractional form as follows:
12m ...0.012km....0.012km..
-------=--------------=----------------------
..s.........3600s...........hr..........
........... ..------...... ....-------.......
........... .3600s........3600s....<--This part can be taken to the top (first main Numerator:0.012)
Then, we have the answer as follows:
0.012km.x3600s....43.2..km-hr........
------------------------=------------------.
...............1 hr...............1 hr................
( In the last fraction, Numerator 'hr' and Denominator 'hr' get cancelled)
Therefore, from the last fraction,we are left with the needed answer
as 43.2 km/hr

Just cancel out units with the correct conversion factors.
12m/s*(1km/1000m)*(3600s/1hr)=43.2km/h

1 hour = 3600 seconds
(12 x 3600)/3600 seconds
=43200m/h
1km=1000m
43200:1000/h
43.2km/h
