What things do i need to practice for intermediate level guitar?
I am past the beginning stage of learning guitar and i have taken lessons in the past with a teacher .
I am studying on my own because i do not have the funds for music lessons at the moment .

Speed picking, picking accuracy, arpeggios, sweep picking, finger tapping, sweep tapping, musical knowledge, string switching, string skipping
also find your favorite pieces and play them to a metronome until you can play them perfectly at twice the speed

It really depends on the kind of music you want to play. It would be beneficial to learn some music theory, chords, and scales, but without knowing what you know already it is hard to recomend something. There are a lot of books and videos that could help guide you if you can't afford a teacher. I've always liked Troy Stetina's books and cds.
