Muslims, are you upset by such questions?

http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aq...

====

this person did not leave way of how I can contact him/her as reply after an answer [best to them] was selected!!!

[even the person who replied does now allow email or any form of contact]

let me deal with the reply:

Here is what you would have to believe in order to accept the story of Noah's Ark.

1. You would have to believe that rainfall, all day and night for 40 days and nights, was over a hundred times heavier than ever recorded by humans.

[reply: Rain is controlled by Allah swt, who can also CHANGE any element to water too]

2. You would have to believe that the earth's water tripled - the volume necessary to reach the mountain summits - and that the flood water simply disappeared after the Flood. Flood water, my friend, does not simply disappear.

[reply: same as in 1, water can react to metal to produce Oxides]

3. You would have to believe that the Ark - if we grant that it had 11 entrances - had a pair of animals loaded into it every second.

[reply: the design of the Ark: is from Allah swt, under His direct supervision]

011.037 "But construct an Ark under Our eyes and Our inspiration, and address Me no (further) on behalf of those who are in sin: for they are about to be overwhelmed (in the Flood)."

4. You would have to believe that each animal in the Ark had a little over one square foot of living space. This is if we give no room to Noah or his family and pals.

[reply: Quran did not supply data about the Ark, as we know today, we humans were able to build "floated cities" resided by elders who seek warmer climates month after month]

5. You would have to believe that all animal life on earth originates from a single point on earth, from which we find increasing diversity as we move away from it; you would have to believe that most animals migrated to their habitats for no reason at all.

[reply: migrations/ adapting to local climates are happening every day]

The penguins went to the Antarctic, and not to the equally inhospitable Arctic, for no reason at all.

The kangaroos and the dingos and Tasmanian devils went all the way to the terrible Aussie desert, for no reason at all.

[reply: we do not know enough about the penguins to learn how they elected Antarctic] [read 17:85]

And so on.

6. You would have to ignore or contest the consensus of modern geologists - who find no trace of a global flood ever occurring in the Earth's history.

[reply: I have seen with my own eyes traces of sea creatures on top of mountains]

7. You would have to dismiss the fact that an identical version of the story appears in the pagan Epic of Gilgamesh, and in a Sumerian epic, thousands of years older than the first sources of the Torah - identical except that they didn't involve God and Noah, of course, they involved Utnapisht and a whole pantheon of gods.

[reply: pagans were Muslims who later elected dine & wine over faith/Iman]

There are many other problems with this story.

[reply: me here to answer ]

any answers of your own?

It's obvious; whoever wrote the story of the Noachite Flood didn't know the maths; the geology; the biology; or anything else. It's just a story, invented by the Mesopotamians, adapted by the Jews during the Babylonian Captivity, inherited by the Christians and finally, the Muslims.

==============

any other date some of you have?

[aside from TLC show which did show the Ark on mount Ararat]

I find it funny when the Muslims squirm and bluff!

One even says here that the Islamic Version of the Great Deluge was not a Global Phenomena!?!?

Honestly, how much will Muslims bend, distort and even bald faced lit to cling on their ""Faith"?

As for your most "erudite" answers, I wonder if you know that the Earth is on a tilted axis where the once submerged lands came above sea level and those that used to be above land went below the sea level? What you saw with your own eyes was proof of that.

The Ark was found on top of Mount Ararat?

    No. It wasn't.

That claim was debunked ages ago when the measurements mentioned in the Torah did not match with the remains of the ship discovered there.

And, have you ever considered the fact that your "oxidization" theory is ridiculous?

Oxides dissolving in water do not dissipate nor evaporate.

And, besides, the 40 days and nights of rain was something that could never have been global, because, in case you forgot, the water from heated sea evaporates and condenses and falls. If it was raining all over, the source of the rain, evaporated water would stop and, voila, no rain!

But then, I forget, you "Believe" that something called Allah could that by just willing it.

The same Allah who was supposed to have sent birds from Hell to shower the Army of Abraha with embers from Hell, but, couldn't stop the Muslim Caliph Yazid bin Muwaiyya from completely destroying Mecca and Medina and the Kaaba! Or stop Caliph Uthman and Zai'd bin Thabit from changing the Koran.

And, if the Pagans were Muslims, then, do you call the Koran a Lie and Allah a Liar? Because Allah said in the Koran that Mohammad was the First Muslim [awwal al mussalameen].

    Make up your mind.

What is it with you M S confusing yourself with all this. I will quote you one book: "(The probability that all our proteins could have been formed by chance, with the correct amino acid sequences, has been estimated at 10^-40,000, which is effectively zero.) " That is:

    0.0000 .... 40, 000 zeros ... 0001

    which is practically zero.

(Agutter & Wheatley - About Life, Concepts in Modern Biology, 2007.

What is the probability that conditions were random and the story of the flood is true? You can put in 10, 000 zeroes or 20,000, estimate the probability the way you wish, for you claim to be the smart one around here.

And you are not willing to accept that the story of the flood is true, but you are willing to accept that life on earth started as a random event?? Put in as much zeroes as you can, and if you accept one story, then you will have to accept both! which is contradictory.

    You are only misleading yourself.

    .

@ Atheos: Why don't you read a book? It will help you find the truth. there are many advance books on the subject that you can download for free.

    .

It is amazing what Allah (swt) have directed man to do: (surat 29; verse 20: "Say walk IN (within) this earth and see how the creation initiated ...".

    .

Now all the theories went haywire when biologists concluded that the origin of life is one and only one cell? But they are not willing to let the public find out that their theories about the origin of life got 6 inches (of snow, that is).

Once you trust that that a book comes directly from God, and he reveals things to you such as working of the unknown which you had no wisdom of before....how do you turn back to doubt and disbelief?

I believe in the situation that occured with My Father Noah and the Ark and I thank God for sharing that story with me, so every time I look up to see a rainbow in the sky, I thank him for keeping his promise to Noah about not flooding the entire Earth ever again.

No, I just feel sad for people who think just because something can't be explain, means it cannot exist.

And at that Atheos dude, saying Muslims are stupid is quite contradictory.

Considering Most scientific discoveries and inventions up until like 600-750 years ago were by Muslims.

Even the concept of the camera was invented by Muslims, believe it or not.

I respect all beliefs, but not the intolerant bigots.

And it's funny how that dude is criticizing people and saying how stupid and evil they are, while he's actually being the evil one by criticizing.

I feel sad for people who get bothered or care about what others do or say, I really do.

All in all, God is my judge, so I never have nor will waste my time being angry at what humans do.

People who answer like this are not normal people. They don't have any creativity and don't think beyond scientific facts.

One of the qualities of God is that he can do anything. Making a human who can live 1000+ is very small thing for him. But some people have narrowed their mind and can't think that it's possible.

Since you have absolutely no faith whatsoever, I would love to see you on the Day of Resurrection standing before Almighty Allah [SWT]. I'd love to see you make these same comments then, when you will be so terrified that you will be peeing your pants. Of course, since everyone will be naked that day, you will have lost control of your bodily functions, without any pants.

@Atheos: It is not called « psychotic imagination ». The proper term for it is « faith », my friend. You have also claimed that Muslims are « remarkably stupid human beings ». Just to let you know, I am Muslim and I am octolingual (speaker of eight languages). There goes your theory down the drain; touché!

@Mike: If you do not have the correct knowledge, at least do not display your ignorance. Beloved Muhammad Mustafa [SAWS] is indeed اول المسلمین Awwal al-Muslimeen or First among the Muslims - in *stature* not *chronology*. Now try to come up with a smart refutal of *that*...

The asker and answerer who got BA are both trolls who repeat the same stuff over and over again, letting the responses from Muslims go in one ear and out the other. Yes, it annoys me. I think it is sweet of you to be committed and try to clear up people's misconceptions, but people like this will never learn.. as God has stated in the Qur'an.
