Is this a good idea for a plot?

I'm writing a story about a seventeen year old girl-Robyn-and her twin brother-Jason. They're moving back to the town they grew up in, and they notice that this group of nine students seems to watch/follow them. Robyn befriends one of the girls while Jason befriends two of the guys. After a couple of days their new friends bring them to an abandoned house that's ten minutes outside of the town. They reveal to them that they're a coven/circle of witches, and that Robyn and Jason are witches. At first Robyn and Jason think they're all crazy and leave, but then they notice things that they wouldn't have before.

They come to the belief that they truly are witches and join the coven/circle.

Robyn finds herself attracted to dark magic that the coven/circle forbids. While Jason descovers that he has the same gift with magic as Robyn, but not the same dark attraction.

That's pretty much all i know for sure right now, but i was wondering if the whole witch theme is overused or not, and if you think it's a good plot idea?

I actually think it's a good idea. But, of course, I have to be picky about everything, so here is my idea that you could use to add some twist on it:

Maybe they didn't leave the city before. What if they grew up there and have lived there their whole lives, making it quite creepy when they notice this large group of teens following them.

What if they had some distinct marking?

I believe this could be good. If you need any help finishing up the plot, feel free to message me here. If you can, at least. I'm still new to Yahoo Answers. :)

    good luck :)

    It's okay.

I'd definitely finish the plot before I started writing.
