What is the best salt/fresh water fishing spot in California without using a boat?

    30 million people in the state and you want someone to tell you their "best" fishing spot? On a public website? You've got to be kidding.

    Mine is somewhere south of Oregon, west of Nevada or Arizona, north of Mexico. You can't miss it.
