Spiritually are we slaves to the Freewill?
Question in detail:
No being needs to go after life if he has life in himself. Avvaiyar said not to go a separate way.we should not do whatever we think. There are good and bad in our way of life. we should take the way of our forefathers.
Here, the poet defines about freewill.
Are we slaves to the freewill? Don't we have brain to distinguish good and bad?

I think you are kannadasan fan , no wonder if you are , he is legend . yes we are slaves to free will . in the name of free will we are doing many wrong deeds . forgetting god and moral values of life . our brain is enemy to us , it plays hide and seek with us " kannai nambathe unnai yemattrum nee kankindra thottram ..." . though its having power of differentiating good and bad , it never leads us to good . it always pushes us to bad only . senses are his servants which acts as per order of his master brain . it can controlled only by devotion ...

I think no,
it is not possible to have both of
freewill and slavery at the same time.
I believe, it is of no use
and one should not follow forefathers,
if they are not following the truthfulness, righteousness and spiritual development.

Spiritually speaking, there is no good or no bad. Killing the Kavrava brothers in Mahabharata was not bad as per Krishna.

Free will is not drifting the way our eyes or legs or mind (கண் போன போக்கில் கால் போன போக்கில் மனம் போன போக்கில்) That is called non exercising of our will which we are free to exercise.
Free will is known as Viveka (unbiased analysis and discretion), where I sit in judgement over my unbiased analysis of the correlated data base supplied by my brain.
In the process of analysis, I certainly give weightage to my predecessors' experience (மனிதன் போன பாதை-the treaded path), not blindly, but after questioning them thoroughly and satisfying myself.
If a person does not do that but drifts the way his eyes or legs or mind then he has not exercised free will.
Free will exercised by Aatman or the soul. Aatman is not the slave of the free will, Aatman is free will itself. Brain is not the free will but a data base and a data processor. It assists Aatman in providing with the analysed data base. Its roll stops there and then free will takes over.

You answered your question your self with your last question. I am a christian and my Lord Jesus Christ says that we are born in sin because of our ancestor Adam. Adam was created free of sin in the garden of Eden but he disobeyed God the father and lost his sin free state. I am a descendant of Adam so I am a sinner. Free will is given to us by God so we can worship him.Satan uses this freewill we have to trick us in to sinning against God. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy spirit do not mess with our Free will. We are Children of God Because we ask him to come into our hearts and save us from Hell and He does because He loves us. We can also not choose God and go to Hell.
I hope this helps you.

If u keep your brain under your control, then your will become your salve.
