Is 100,000 miles alot for a '95 Nissan Maxima?

I found a1995 nissan maxima at a dealer and it has 186,000km (about 100,000miles). I was just wondering if I should be worried about it breaking down if I were to drive it as a dialy and occasionally take it to the 1/8th mile drag strip.

PS: The car is only $2900 and in good shape

On my 5th Nissan my first had 250,000 miles on the clock when i got it and it was still going strong when i sold it.My Nissan atm is a1996 model which i have owned for over 5 years now is again still going very strong.

As for the Maxima i owned a 1996 model which had 100,00 miles on the clock when i got it and it had no problems at all reason i got rid of it was i saw a R32 Skyline which i had wanted since 1989 so i went for that. But my wife said if we had a second car then she would be a Maxima again.

    So go for it.

Nissans are built very well. They are easily 300,000 mile cars, IF cared for properly.

I would NOT take this car to the drag strip.

I would offer $2300 for the car and come up from there. I wouldn't go higher than $2550.

I bought a 1998 Maxima with 200,000+ on it as a winter beater.

2,500 would be a better price but your buying from a dealer, a new car could break just as easy as a used one and taking it down drag strips wouldn't help . But yes 100k isn't that bad for a 17 year old car

NOT AT ALL!!!! That is only a little over 6K miles a year for 17 years old!!!! :O I can tell you from experience that NISSAN ROCKS, BUY IT!!!!!! Buying from a dealer, you can bet the car has had a very thorough Safety Check!!!! :D
