Is this a good gaming Computer for today's Titles?

Okay, so I am about to order my new GPU and I would like to put all my specs here to ask you guys if this a good computer for Gaming on today's Titles (Crysis 2, BF3, Minecraft, etc.). I just want some honest opinions and hopefully no constructive criticism if I mis-place something (EX: I put GPU instead of PSU or something like that)

Specs:

HDD: 127 GB (Main, 7200 RPM) / 465 GB (Alt., 7200 RPM)

GPU: (OLD) ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series / (NEW) AMD XFX 6870 1GB

RAM: Corsair Extreme (2x2 GB, DDR2)

MOBO: I don't really know what my MOBO is, all I know it's manufactured by MICRO-STAR

PROC: AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core ~2.5 GHz

PSU: 600 WATT

Other

Computer Case: Blackwidow X9 Black Edition Mid-Tower

Keybored: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate

Mouse: Razer Deathadder

Mouse Pad: Razer Kabuto

Moniter: I use a TV ... - 22" Samsung SyncMaster 2230 HD

Also, please tell me the difference between having a 1GB XFX 6870 and a 2GB XFX 6870 and how it would effect in-game performance.

A 127GB hard disk drive? Wow, that's an oldy...

Your old Phenom X4 9850 CPU is a bit weak... it's fine for older or moderate intensity games like WoW, Call of Duty:MW2, Rift or Half-Life 2, but at 2.5Ghz it's a little slow for today's titles like Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3. You can probably get by, but your performance will be held back somewhat- you won't be seeing the maximum fps your graphics card is capable of delivering.

Having 2GB of video memory has no effect when gaming at resolutions of 1680x1050 or lower, and usually doesn't affect gaming at 1920x1080 either. It's primarily beneficial when running multiple monitors or a single monitor with extremely high resolution, such as 2560x1600.

However, the very latest titles including BF3, Crysis 2 (with the optional high-res texture pack) and Skyrim can actually use more than 1GB of video memory when running at 1080p, which your TV supports. So in those really high-end titles, you'd get better fps with the 2GB card.

Its not a matter of going with ddr3 you can't put ddr3 ram in a ddr2 mobo it won't work. Truthfully I'm not liking the cpu choice of a AM2 socket chip. It doesn't give you to much longevity or upgradeabily on the system. Go with a AM3 socket chip (phenom II) with a mobo that supports AM3+ chips. That way it gives u an upgrade chance. With a AM3/AM3+ board will use ddr3 ram. Find something with a low latency. 1333mhz ram speed is good for this build go two chips of 4gb. I recomend g.skill well priced mem with the gamer in mind. The hd 6870 will serve you well for a long time. It has awesome xfire speeds so in a couple years put a second 6800 in and you are rocking it again. Good building

    look good to me.

the diferent between 1GB XFX 6870 and a 2GB XFX 6870 is maximum resolution support. if you use 1920×1080 sreen resolution or below both GPU will give you almost same performance. but when you use higher resolution GPU with 2 gb memory will give you more performance

Get more and new ram. DDR3. 6-8 gb.

CPU is a bit outdated but it will suffice.

2gb is useless unless your resolution is higher than 1920x1080.

PSU brand is very important, do not cheap out.
