I need some good summer songs! Suggestions?
Hey! So I'm building a playlist of songs to listen to over the summer.
The type of songs I'm looking for are:
-Songs that feel like they're climaxing up to summer...you know what I mean? Like the music just gives you that "I'm ready for summer" "I'm ready for wild memories" "I'm ready for late nights" type of feeling. For example "Man in the Hat" by Mac miller. The music in that song gives me that climaxy feeling I was describing. Check it out and you'll know what I'm talking about. Even if you hate mac millers type of music.
-A beachy surfy vibe. The ones that sound almost old style-ish, but aren't. Like "Summer Holiday" by Wild Nothing. I love the beachy vibes I get from that song. It makes me feel like I'm sitting in the bed of a truck with a group of friends riding along the beach.
Now the songs you suggest don't have to exactly fit the two type of songs I'm looking for. Recommend anything that gives you a summery feelings, definately going to be down for whatever you guys answer. Remember, Anything summery!

Most of the summer songs I know are in the 'house' genre, but they definitely have a summer vibe to them!

Ha, dear god you give me a raptech song and alternative rock.
Ughh I suggest the 'Young Veins' for a beachy/ oldy feel
And Tyler the Creator - Goblin for raptech as well as Kid Cudi ( can't go wrong with him), you might now like them but I think he's a bad as$ and I hate LMFAO but there song - Yes - always gets me going.
Other than that, the music I am way into right now is Nu Jump Up, listen to 'Dillon Francis' - IDGAFOS and 'Delta Heavy' - Must be the feeling. Alternatively 'Never Shout Never' - Silver Ecstasy and The Academy Is.. - Summer Hair

I'm not sure if this is what you like to listen to, but late 90's/ early 00's pop-punk is what gets me excited for summer. Bands like New Found Glory, Blink-182 or early Sum 41 is what I'd recommend. Heck, Sum 41 even has a song called "summer" :P
