My pet duck ate some dry catfood (spilled on the floor from the cat bowl) she loved it is it harmful for her?
I didn't particularly mean for her to eat it, i brought her inside coz it was raining &she was fast digging in. Anyway, she's snubbing her feed lately, loved the cat food (purina one dry pellets) I don't want her eating anything harmful but I'm running out of bugs in the yard. How much u know about ducks& their eating habits?

Shes ok it wont hurt her they eat rocks to be able to aka chew food. Ducks and chickens wont eat anything that will hurt her.
You can always feed ducks bread or scratch corn. I'm sure they make duck feed too but ill say scratch corn or mash

She will be fine. Ducks are smart birds they know what they can and can not eat. But dont let that be her new diet its probably not the best thing for her. If she keeps eating it she could become overweight or unhealthy i would try to keep her away from it most the time. But it wont hurt if its a little maybe even a piece or two for a reward would be okay

You can offer it to her as a treat once in a while as well.
