car won't start when warm, fuel pump runs constantly why key is on position?
My uncle has a 95 Pontiac Sunfire, the car runs good, drives great. has a new computer, fuel pump, pressure regulator, fuel filter, plugs wires. alternator, battery. and a few other parts that are not important. it starts up fine when its cool, but after they drive it and it warms up to temperature, they go to cut it off and it won't start. they have to wait 20 or so minutes, then it will start again.
only thing I notice is when you turn on the key the fuel pump will run constantly, I'm assuming it never builds up pressure, so we replace the Regulator, still does it.
I'm really more curious then worried about it. I think they drive something like 40 miles a month in it so its not really important.

My uncle called me over today to help fix his lawn mower. I came over and checked for spark, has good spark, took the carburetor off and cleaned it real good. still won't start. so we took off the valve covers and a broken pushrod and a bent pushrod, and another is not even there. don't know what or why one of the pushrods was missing.
So I went and bought some new pushrods. we took off the head to make sure nothing got inside the cylinder even thou I didn't see how it would.
We put the head back on put the new pushrods in. and went to start it up and it sounds as if it has a open cylinder now. but it starts runs really ruff for about 10 seconds and dies again.
I'm stumped, maybe I missed something putting the engine back together I don't know.
what could make it act like that. and of all things how in the world could he of bent a pushrod in a lawnmower.
its a 24hp twin briggs on a Husqevarna. sorry if thats misspelled.

I have a leak in my transmission cooler somewhere, either way its leaking transmission fluid and I can't seem to find a exact fit repair. either way the question is. If I was to buy a aftermarket transmission cooler kit, will I be able to use it to replace the factory or do I have to fix the factory that is in it.

I have a small orchard in my yard. 4 apple, 2 peach, 2 pear, 2 plum, 1 pecan, kiwi, blueberry, strawberry, grapes. either way my uncle gave me a couple more apple trees a few fig trees and a few others but they are ruffly about 10' tall and 8-10' diameter.
what would be the proper way to move a tree of this size without killing it?

just finished rebuilding my transmission for the second time. yeay it works. when the wheels are off the ground. in all gears even overdrive. but when it is on the ground moving the truck it won't shift automatically in overdrive it slips bad in second and 3rd. its doing the same thing as it was before the rebuild. but when you shift manually it shifts fine. what will cause it to not shift automatically in drive but shifts fine manually.
its not the torque converter i replaced it. it does the same with the new one too

I rebuilt my A4LD transmission in my 94 Ranger last weekend. I got it moving in all 4 forward gears but no reverse, I ordered a new valve body and replaced it today, now I have a reverse but it is very weak, and sometimes it won't engage, but when it does you can add gas to it and it won't speed up all the time. it don't even register on the speedometer when it does speed up.
I'm sure everything is there and is working to the most part properly but there is something off that is not providing the power that I need in reverse.
all this is when the truck is still on jack-stands. what would cause a transmission to act this way.

Ok I just put a new rebuilt transmission in my mother inlaws van, the problem is
when the wheels are off the ground it will shift into second and then delay shift into 3rd and slowly into 4th, but after one time it'll go into limp mode and not shift past second.
now when the van is on the ground moving it goes to shift into second and act as if it shifts into neutral and completely stop moving forward, even after a complete stop it still don't move forward intill after it is cut off and restarted then it shifts starts moving forward again, but soon as it goes to shift into second it jumps out of gear and ALL fore ward gears are gone again.
What could the problem be.

I just put a new transmission in my inlaws 07 Dodge Caravan. well apparently the computers in newer cars are to stupid to know that there is a new transmission in it and needs to be put into a learning mode to learn how to use the new computer, I think its just another way for Chrysler to take money from people. either way I was hoping that there is a way to put the computer in a learning mode without having to take it to a dealership.

I just put a new rebuilt transmission in my Mother inlaws Grand Caravan. I got the thing put in and slowly filled it with Transmission fluid working threw the gears reverse and forward gears intill a little over 9 quarts. anyway it shift into all gears sometimes but most the time it don't shift into all 4 just the first 2. I took it down the road one quick time and it jumped out of gear and only had reverse. so I cut the van off and cut it back on and forward gears was back but still only sifts threw all 4 every once in awhile. sense it shifts threw all gears obviously its not a internal problem, so it must be electrical sensor or something, I'm just trying to figure out what sensor or wire that would cause it to not shift like it should. any help would be great. ok I'm stumped, I have a 94 ranger xlt with the 2.3l 4 cylinder. Love this little truck. I bought the truck little over a month ago and realized that it does not warm up. first had no heat in the heater, ok easy fix. so I put a new heater core in it. works great plenty of heat now. but still wont warm up. so I put in a new thermostat in it, I put a 195 OEM warms up to just below the normal mark. still not getting warm enough to open the thermostat, did some research and discovered it might be the fan clutch, Why not replaced that too didn't take me no time. but it still stays just below the normal mark, there is a new temp sensor in it.
so it got a new heater core, new thermostat, a new fan clutch, new water pump, new radiator cap, and a temp sensor. but it still won't get to a decent temperature. what is there left to check. I figured I gotten everything already.
what could be causing my little truck to run so cool, I mean cool enough I can drive 60+ miles walk around and take the radiator cap off,
it doesn't leak coolant I've put plenty of miles on it and never changed the level at all.

my 2 year olds skin is drying out from a allergic reaction to lotion. It looks as if it would be irritating even thou it don't seem to bother her. I really would like to make sure she is taken care of but I can't put lotion on her because that is the cause of the dry skin to begin with.

I know it goes threw all 4 gears. it just takes a unusually long time to shift into second then it shifts into 3rd and immediately into 4th. I took off the valve body and replaced the shift balls, the separator plate both actuators and the shift solenoids today. after I got it all put back together it shift into 2nd no problem at 2500 rpms and then its back to what it was doing.
It goes really high into the rpm range and I have to leave off the gas before it'll shift into second. then it jerks into second gear and then shifts fine into 3rd and 4th. but sometimes it only stays in 3rd for a few seconds and immediately shifts into 4th. I'm not missing a gear it just don't seem to want to shift at the right times. WTH is going on with this car I'm about to just sale it.

I have a 94 z28 camaro with the LT1 350. got a set off headers on it and from the headers is a 2 1/4" exhaust pipe that stops right under the passenger seat. I finally got the engine running good and it driving good but my new problem is it is so loud I not only can't hear the radio but I'm deft for about 5 minutes after I get out.
So I'm looking for some mufflers to put on this car. I want to keep the muscle car sound I just would like to stop bleeding from my ears every time I drive it. I see Glass packs and stright chambered mufflers and all that, I just don't want to spend all my money to get a sound I don't like or kill performance.
so can anyone tell me what they think would be best for my car and the difference between the types?

I been working on this camaro since before september. I've replaced Head gaskets, intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets, oil pressure switch, plugs, wires twice, starter, TPS. just to let you know the few things I have done, NOT A EASY JOB. either way I've driven little over 1000 miles on it so far and its got this weird backfire going on. I'll be driving down the road fine about 30 miles at 60mph and it has two little backfires really light can bearly hear it. and then it runs fine about 10 more miles same speed a big backfire pop sounds like a gun shot. and drive fine then about another 4 or 5 miles same speed the little backfire pop pop and drive fine. WTH . its backfireing out the exhaust. I just want to figure out what it is before it gets any worse. can ya'll help me out here.

I managed to hit a deer yesterday with my camaro. sucks really tore a small chunk out the the front bumper and my driver side fender is missing from the wheel forward. either way I drove it to work today and its Raining like hell. after about 35 miles it started missing. I was only 5 miles from work so I got it to work and parked it. I realized the air filter to my cold air intake was just in my new gaping hole in my car so I assumed I might of got it wet and some water was getting into my intake. so before I left work I did a temporary fix to my car with the broken parts that I picked up some tape and some wood. looks good for what it is. drove fine I drove it to work stopped at a couple stores and about 20 miles from home it started missing again. about 2 miles after it started missing it started backfiring bucking missing like hell everything. pulled it over at a gas station and set for about 5 minutes. started up and it ran fine for about a mile and it started bucking and kicking and missing again. I'm trying to figure out what could be

Runs good but 90% of the time it really takes a few seconds to shift into second. All other gears shift smooth and don't hessitate. Sometimes when its cold shifts into second with ease. What could the problem be. Also at WOT it won't shift unless you back off.
