My Duck attacked my Chicken?
I have a pair of Mallard Ducks and about 4 chickens in a pen together. today My male Mallard Duck was on top of one of my hens biting it on its head. I have no Idea what gotten into him. is it matting season for Mallards and they just get aggressive this time of year or is he just having a bad day. anyone can help me with what he is up to.
the lady we got him from said he was actually hatched by a chicken and lived most his life with chickens.

was he raised with chickens? Cause hes confused an trying to have the chicken as his mate. Its happened on my farm. If hens dont fight him off u need to separate him just with other duck
