do phones auto connect to 3G?
LG L45C new "smart" phone says 3G capable but its really slow and it says 1 on it. the booklet only says and shows a pic of the number 3 on the phones screen but my phone has never had a 3 on it. It runs really fast with wi fi though

generally yes, but you can also turn it off in the settings
