me and my wife want to buy a home and she has a credit score of 638 but not very established credit. I have almost the same score but I have a bankrupcy which the two year discharge period is in three months. Now I used to have a 720 three years with very established credit but I lost my job and had to file bankrupcy. Now we want to buy a house and wanted to know how we can increase our credit score.

You do the obvious things: wait, pay your bills, never be late. Check your credit scores once or twice a year. You can also pre-apply/qualify for a mortgage, but expect to pay a high amount--until you do all of this.
