Identity information taken in restaurant. What would you do?

Card lying on counter with my name, checking account and routing number. Placed on counter top to help find misplaced credit/debit card. Someone would have had to take the card off the counter. Employees claim not them (doubt) had a theft from employee from their lost and found once before . . . Question: what would you do about the misplacing, and/or taking of this vital information? Also, won't return to restaurant. Duh.

well the restaurant should take better care of your private info and if they do not

do me a favor and ask for a boss or manager and explain your concern

employees do bad things sometimes that their bosses are not aware of so please tell them before you decide not to go back

it is the employee not the owner so tell them so they fix the problem..

  • Your description doesn't make sense, but if you left a card lying on the counter, anyone walking by could have taken it.

Report your card missing to your bank, it will then be useless to any thief. And next time don't leave your card with ANYONE.
