in the uk,is there anyone knows about the change of law?

that you have to opt in on contracts for broad band SKY ,and any other contracts.i want to know the dates when this became or becomes law.i got a letter about my house insurance last month and they said it would happen automatically,on the last of april i thought that was when the law was changing?

    It is already long established law that you have to agree to a contract to signify your acceptance of it in some way, such as returning a form, sending an email, a letter, making a phone call etc. If one of these companies expected you to take a new contract when the old one had expired they could not enforce it against you.
