How can I help my friend feel better...?

ok so long story short, my friend is like in a weird way. not very responsive, and they are acting a bit distantly to communication.

there is clearly stuff bugging them, but they wont say what. and any way i try to help is like acknowledged but they dint let it sink in.

how can i draw them out and help them feel better if they cant help themself by letting in help?

Just be there for them. Make sure you communicate that you are available. When they need help they will come to you. Don't force the issue or they might just clam up. It's hard to accept that there are somethings you just have to let evolve naturally, but hopefully when they need you then you will be there for them.

Wow kinda sounds like me, i know im stubborn to accept help.

I would advise just being yourself, make them laugh and smile and just be nice to them....they will eventually come around and open up i suspect they need to get somethings straight in their own head first.
