why is my dvd player/recorder dvd recording not playing on computer?

My dvd recorder connected to tv burns dvd. However I try to play same dvd on computer and it will not play it. I used DVD+ disc format first, then tried DVD- disc. I finalized discs, tried unfinalized, no. So frustrating. It is so easy to hook camera up to DVD player and record there.

On most DVD Recorders in the 'Setup' there's a setting to choose 'Make Recording Compatible' or something like that. Had the same issues with a Toshiba model since I changed it no problem.

    Hope that works for you.

while your formatted the CD you formatted it for computing gadget, no longer for DVD participant. you have that determination once you burn the CD. in case you burn a expertise CD it won't play in a CD participant. in case you % track format it is going to play interior the computing gadget or interior the CD participant.
