I really dont know what hamsters can eat ?
I just feed mine celery bread and the pellets

By pellets do you mean strictly pellets? Or the hamster/gerbil mix that you can get from walmart and pet stores? The mix is better for them, just pellets can lead to a lifetime of digestion issues. As a bare minimum i suggest the mix and alfalfa hay, it helps regulate their digestive system as well as keep their teeth trimmed (they never stop growing you know). If you do switch the food, be sure to do it gradually, mix some of the old food with the new food and slowly switch to the new food completely.
Celery is a good treat, but too much green and you can hurt your hammy by giving him wet tail (diarrhea)
Here's a list of foods that you can and can't feed them, and i've learned from experience;
• Toast (not burnt) with butter
• Crackers with butter or cheese
• Fruits
• Vegetables
• Cheese
• Yogurt
• Nuts
• Sunflower Seeds
• Fish liver oil (mixed into regular food, or puppy chow that has cod liver oil in it)
• Dog and Cat treats (also helps teeth stay short, no onion or garlic powder)
• Chunks of beef or mutton (NO PORK)
• Canned dog food ( i use the ceaser turkey kind, just be sure it doesn't have any garlic or onion at all)
• Meal-worms
• Milk (as long as it’s in a dish, my females love vitamin d)
• Mixed birdseed
• Monkey Chow (also helps keep teeth short)
• Yeast (from human health store or half of a yeast tablet found in dog and cat stores, as long as there is no garlic in it)
• Bits of Potato (not much, its debatable as to whether or not it’s actually good for them)
• Buckwheat
• Baby Food (low sugar and no onion or garlic)
• Cooked Plain Brown Rice
• Cooked Pasta (Wheat or Spinach would be better)
• Flax seed
• Low or Sugarless Cereals (ex. frosted flakes, cheerios, things like that)
• Pumpkin Seeds (unsalted)
• Nuts (No almonds)
• Sesame Seeds
• Soybeans (Roasted no salt)
• Squash seeds
• Lentils
• Oatmeal (dry or soaked in skim or low-fat milk)
• Bran and Wheat Germ (Refrigerated goes bad fast)
• Peanuts (unsalted)
• Alfafa
• Unsalted Popcorn (no butter)
Fruits
• Apple (seedless)
• Banana
• Blackberries
• Blueberries
• Cantaloupe.

• Crickets (Pet Shop, some hamsters actually will hunt down the live ones themselves)

• Dog Biscuits (No Garlic, onion, or onion/garlic powder)

• Lab Blocks ( they're used in the science hamsters, packed with everything that a hamster needs, usually cubed)

dried peas are often in commercial hamster food, so thats not a problem i dont know about the black peas though, so best not to risk it. barley is also in commercial hamster food a lot, so thats a yes too for yummier treats for him, try things like crickets, earthworms and mealworms and small pieces of fresh cooked beef and chicken :)

ONLY FEED HER/HIM VERY SMALL AMOUNTS OF CELERY, ONLY ABOUT ONCE A WEEK AT THE MOST CUS IT WILL MAKE THE ANIMAL ILL, IT SHOULD ONLY EVER BE USED AS A OCCASIONAL TREAT!!!!
