Hel please! My sound driver isn't working after update?

I'm using a Toshiba, windows vista home premium, and realtek high definition audio.. I was told there was an update for it by a program I have, and I went to the realtek site and downloaded the update "32bits Vista, Windows7 Driver only (Executable file) R2.68" from site 1. Now suddenly, my sound isn't working at all! When I go into the audio mixer, it says "No audio device is installed". Please help!! I /need/ sound! Thanks!

Every version of windows since XP has a driver rollback feature. Press the windows key and pause at the same type, and go into the driver manager. Find your sound card driver, right click on it, and press properties. Then click "driver roll back".

I suggest you do a windows update for the correct driver. What you do is go into control panel, click windows update, and start an update...then look under the optional/hardware section for any driver related to your sound card.
