Is the AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G lense compatible with the Nikon d3200?

    Yes, the, 'S,' in AF-S means that it has a focus motor and is thus fully compatible.

    'G,' (gelded) means that the lens has no aperture ring, but this isn't an issue with your camera as the aperture can be set from the camera body.

    it got a very favorable review. To actually get that sharpness in glorious 24 MP, you should use a good tripod.
