how much hair breakage do you curlies get?
i have naturally kinky curly hair, and i have felt forced to leave my hair in minitwists to combat the breakage i'd been getting. but i want to get a feel for how much hair breakage (not shedding, but breakage) is normal for you guys to see if you're manipulating your hair with fingers only each day? before i kicked the comb to the side, i was seeing about 10 broken hairs a day. now that i have it in twists i get only 1-5, tops. is this normal?

my hair is curly and i never use heat on it. it still gets a lot of split ends and breakage though. and i mean A LOT. so yea. i would say its normal.
what i found works really well is putting a lot of vitamin E oil on the ends and leaving it in for 30 minutes then showering as normal.
also, try not to wash your hair everyday (its not as gross as it seams, i promise) your natural oils will make it a lot healthier
