ABC's Castle - Season 5 Expectations?

In my opinion, Castle and Beckett getting together will both strengthen and challenge their working relationship. The trust that the two have and that has been shaky will be somewhat cemented. Now that Beckett has opened herself up to Castle by expressing her feelings, I think she'll also slowly come around to being more sharing and open. On the other hand, I don't think Beckett can just let go of her mother's case forever and I think she'll definitely revisit it and Castle will not be so happy or supportive. I'm looking forward to Alexis' reaction to the new relationship and possibly a closer relationship with Beckett.

I was surprised that Espo stuck to Beckett till' the very end despite getting suspended and I think they have a stronger and slightly different relationship. However, Espo will eventually get over what he considers Ryan's betrayal when he realizes that what Ryan did saved Beckett plus I think Beckett will have a hand in mending their relationship. Espo will feel betrayed for a while, but as time goes on, I think he'll learn to forgive and forget.

I can't wait for season 5 because we'll get to delve deeper into the Caskett relationship. I think the season will focus on the two figuring out the level of their relationship, healing old wounds, and dealing with the case of Beckett's mom.

I think Smith might could end up dead because he knows too much, but I think he might be spared because he seems to be the only link to the old days with Montgomery plus his being the "good" guy or at least someone on Beckett's side. The files I think will definitely end up on the bad guy's side. However, I think that Castle will have copied them and that Beckett won't be the only one in danger for long.

I think they're physical relationship will only strengthen their working one (granted Beckett gets her badge back). I'm sure they'll still have the playful banter during cases but it'll be reinforced by their love for one another.

Kevin and Javier have been friends and partners for years before the series started, I'm sure Javi will come to his senses and see Kevin telling Gates was out of concern for his safety.

I'm seeing a bit of Bones in Caskett's future. Possibly kids and Wedding Bells? You know a Castle/Beckett baby's gonna be adorable.

I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Smith, sure when the season ended he was jumped by the creepy assassin guy but he'll probably have some way of getting out of it.

Am I the only one who hopes Beckett's mom's murder will be solved in season five?
