Non Rap Hip Hop artists you've been playing alot lately. If you have been.

I've been digging a lot of Prince's stuff lately, especially his '90s albums - most of them are kind of haphazardly put together but they all have great material in abundance...

I've been listening to a lot of pop music in general but mostly from the '90s, when artists like Janet Jackson and Madonna put out great albums and weren't (always) clockin' the **** from the tabloids...

Early electronic music has also been on heavy rotation:

BQ: I don't have a favorite album - there are maybe 20 or 30 that I find myself coming back to a lot but a favorite would be tough...

King Kooba's 'Nu Found Funk' is one I like to fall back on after a long day and I've had a lot of those recently...

Well actually, I haven't been listening to much hip hop at all lately. I've been digging quite a bit of nrhh, a lot of different things. I have been listening to:

    The Raincoats

    Television

    TV on the Radio

    Radiohead

    Animal Collective

    John Frusciante

    The Smashing Pumpkins

    The Ex

    Wire

    Pere Ubu

    Led Zeppelin

    Sufjan Stevens

    Iron & Wine

Kind of a long list...but you know..

BQ: I prefer my NRHH favorite (Kid A by Radiohead) to my favorite hip hop album (All Eyez On Me by Tupac)

Sometimes I listen to either Black Metal or Electronica instead. Rarely though.

Black Metal: Cradle of Filth, Anorexia Nervosa, Dimmu Borgir, Gorgoroth

Electronica: Justice, edIT, The Glitch Mob, Boreta

BQ: Honestly, I'm unsure of my favorite hip hop album at the moment.

It's either The Cold Vein, Liquid Swords (which has been my favorite forever) or I'll Sleep When You're Dead. Decisions decisions. Anyways, they're all better than Cruelty and the Beast.

convinced. there countless fellows i'd %.. for example, tupac and the beatles. both are legends of their genres, yet they both communicate about social and political topics. yet another get at the same time may be ice dice and korn. they did a pair songs already, and ice dice did an quite good interest on those songs. next may be biggie smalls and frank sinatra. someone did a remix with those 2, and it replaced into only a masterpiece. yet another may be run dmc and aerosmith. they replaced rap and rock with their track walk this way. so ya, a hip hop artist and a non hip hop artist may make an quite good track at the same time. my favortie g funk album may both be immediately outta compton, the persistent, or all eyez on me. immediately outta compton all started g funk, and it really is basically an quite good album. the persistent through dr dre were given all the rep that the west coast had contained in the ninety's. all eyez on me through tupac is a masterpiece. he rhymed countless puzzling **** on that album

I haven't been listening to much NRHH but one artist I recently discovered is an amazing blues guitarist called Gary Clark Jr. He has two great EPs and he even did a song with Nas - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMzLgIj2dLA
